The Regional Assembly Colombia of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE)<\/em><\/strong> took place on June 1st, 2016, at the headquarters of the Asociaci\u00f3n Colombiana de Universidades (ASCUN).<\/a><\/p>\n

In the context of this meeting, highlighted was the commitment expressed by the delegates of the 21 represented institutions that have formed teamworks, while concentrating on the initiatives and projects of the IOHE in the region leadered by Dr. Germ\u00e1n Anzola Montero, President of the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales.<\/a><\/p>\n

In this 2016 Assembly, Colombia develops important IOHE activities that aim at improving the Higher Education in the Americas, such as the\u00a0International Conference on Knowledge and Innovation (CIKI)<\/a>\u00a02016 conceived by the\u00a0College of the Americas (COLAM)<\/a>, from the 31st of October to the 1st of November, in collaboration with the\u00a0Universidad Santo Tom\u00e1s<\/a>,\u00a0Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0Engenharia do Conhecimento (EGC);<\/a><\/em>the International Seminar on Social Innovation: Where are we going to? Concepts, Strategies, Progress, and Propositions,<\/em>\u00a0from June 7th to 9th, also prepared by the COLAM, together with the\u00a0Corporaci\u00f3n Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO),<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0IGLU Course,<\/em>\u00a0on August 1st, organized by the\u00a0\u00a0Institute for University Management and Leadership (IGLU)\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Universidad del Rosario;<\/a>\u00a0as well as the\u00a0III Inter-American Space of Technical and Technological Institutions of Higher Education (EIESTEC),<\/em>\u00a0in September, other initiative of the IGLU, in collaboration with the\u00a0UNICATOLICA de Cali.<\/a><\/p>\n
