Important progresses associated to the development of the fifth edition of the Conference of the Americas on International Education, CAIE Canada-2017, have been made in relation to the\u00a0major theme\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0venue<\/strong>\u00a0of the event.<\/p>\n

The Steering Committee of the CAIE voted unanimously in favor of the following theme:\u00a0Generating Tomorrow\u2019s Leaders & Innovators: The Internationalization of Graduate Studies and Research<\/strong>, according to the latest trends and priorities, as well as the current needs of the higher education and its internationalization.<\/p>\n

The event will be held from October 11th<\/sup>\u00a0to 13th<\/sup>, 2017, in the\u00a0Palais des congr\u00e8s de Montr\u00e9al<\/a><\/em>,<\/em>\u00a0the main convention center in the hosting city. Located in the heart of the financial district, the venue of the CAIE Canada-2017 has direct access to the hotels that are mostly frequented by business travelers and offers a wide variety of mobility options.<\/p>\n

Thus, the Steering Committee, under the direction of the Executive Director of the CAIE, Dr. David Julien, who also serves as the Executive Director of the\u00a0Inter-American Organization For Higher Education (IOHE),<\/a>\u00a0Canada, is formed by the representatives of the\u00a0Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE-BCEI),<\/a>\u00a0Canada; the\u00a0Consortium for Northern American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC)<\/a>, United States; the Consortium of the five main universities in Montreal:\u00a0Concordia University<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>\u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0McGill University<\/a>,\u00a0Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>y\u00a0Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al<\/em><\/a>; the\u00a0Empresa P\u00fablica YACHAY E.P<\/a>., Ecuador; the\u00a0Asociaci\u00f3n Mexicana para la Educaci\u00f3n Internacional (AMPEI)<\/a>, Mexico<\/u>; the\u00a0Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Nuevo Le\u00f3n (UANL)<\/a>, Mexico; and\u00a0Global Affairs\u00a0Canada<\/a><\/em>, being the observer.<\/p>\n

Those steps show that the CAIE is, above all, a constantly evolving space for exchange, thanks to its academic offerings, reflected in an excellency program in its previous four editions, as well as its traditional series of Webinars, networking<\/em>\u00a0platform, and constant communication with thousands of persons who are interested in the internationalization of higher education through its online resources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
