We are happy to announce that the \u00a0<\/em>Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (<\/strong>OUI-IOHE)<\/strong> and the International Political Science Association (IPSA)\u00a0 signed an agreement to enhance their academic cooperation. Both organizations are based in Montreal and this partnership falls in line with their active participation in Montreal International.<\/p>\n

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) establishes a bilateral agreement between the two organizations, allowing them to further their existing collaboration on several fronts. The bilateral agreement allows IPSA and OUI-IOHE to organize academic panels at each other\u2019s main events in 2023 (the IPSA World Congress of Political Science and the Conference of the Americas on International Education – CAIE).<\/p>\n

IPSA Executive Director Kim Fontaine-Skronski expressed her delight at signing the MoU with IOHE: \u201cThe MoU will enhance our existing academic cooperation with IOHE and increase the presence of IPSA in 350 higher education institutions across 28 countries in the Americas. This significant cooperation also aligns with IPSA’s key mission to support the development of political science worldwide, especially in the Global South\u201d.<\/p>\n

IOHE Secretary General added that : \u201cThe signing of this memorandum of understanding between IOHE and the International Political Science Association (IPSA) represents the opportunity to strengthen our networks and to improve and increase our relationship with the global political science community. It is in line with our recently approved Strategic Plan to increase strategic alliances and to focus on research related initiatives for our members and in this sense the fit with IPSA is perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

The International Political Science Association (IPSA), founded under the auspices of UNESCO in 1949, is an international scholarly association devoted to the advancement of political science throughout the world. IPSA has 61 national and regional association members, over 90 institutional and 4,000 individual members. IPSA\u2019s World Congress of Political Science will be hosted in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina on July 15-19, 2023.<\/p>\n
